Upper limits are also set regarding claims against specific items, for example an "upper limit" of £1,500 to replace garden sheds, tools etc, or a limit of say £500 to cover the cost of replacing door and window locks.

It is well worth remembering that all high value items should be itemised and included specifically in any insurance policy.
