For a property to require Prestige Insurance, it must have an above average market value, either of itself, or inclusive of its contents.

Such prestige policies will of course cover all the usual risks associated with any standard insurance cover, such eventualities as, fire, storm, flood etc, but will differ greatly as to the level of cover offered.

It will be higher in value, due to the higher cost of a total re-build, in the event of complete loss of the structure, and, or its contents.

• Or perhaps because they are listed buildings

Whatever the particular circumstances of the property are, attention to detail, in all respects is essential to ensure completely adequate insurance cover, with particular care being taken to ensure that all of the property is covered, which may include such things as, anchorages, access roads, airstrips etc

Cover will usually be offered on a "value for" basis, for both buildings and contents, where a "new for old" facility would not apply.
